I'm curious who owns the domain and why do we have to pay them?

It was down last night while I was deciding on which game to purchase. So I had to fire up FoF for some solace.

Hi all,

I just thought I would share with you what I did to remedy this situation. First off I contacted Erik and he assured me that their end was working and that the problem must be at my end. I took that on good faith and so ran CCleaner utility to clear out all my caches and unwanted cookies. I even removed matrixgames.forums from my cookie white list in CCleaner settings so it would get ditched. Then I ran "ipconfig /flushdns" from the CPrompt. Under Vista that means going to the Start menu, selecting Run and entering the text and hitting the OK button. Please note that there is a space between the end of ipconfig and the forward slash. I rebooted and tried to go to the forums in my browser ( IE8 ). Still no joy. On Erik's advice he suggested I contact my ISP and get them to flush their dns. I did so. The ISP claimed that the site they see looks legit. But when I got them to describe it to me I was able to advise them that no it was the hacked site. They then said that it would get flushed within the next 48 hours. I explained I needed this for work and finally they agreed to flush their dns. It took them five minutes and bingo all is well.

So did you backorder the domain ?
History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

If I did then instead of being able to ask me that, you'd be facing the full glory of my avatar.
