Unit stats and end of turn

Based on Slitherine’s popular tabletop wargaming system by the same name, Field of Glory now comes to the PC in a faithful adaptation of this acclaimed miniatures wargame! Without the calculations and measurements required for a tabletop game of Field of Glory, the PC version accurately represents Ancient and Medieval combat where you make the important and fun decisions on the battlefield. This forum also supports the Rise of Rome, Storm of Arrows and Immortal Fire expansions to Field of Glory.

Unit stats and end of turn

Post by nukkxx5058 »

1) How do I get my units stats ? offensive/defensive and other (e.g. impact) stats ?

2) i cannot end a turn if i didn't use all my units. This is strange. For instance, sometimes my units are in a bad position and success odds for an attack are too low. I'd like to retire but I can't. I'm oblige to send them to the butchery. Why that ???

Thanks

RE: Unit stats and end of turn

1)  It's quite complicated as it is all based on the combination of several factors (cohesion, weapon, quality, quantity) and the stats are quite fluid.  In the game screen, you see how many die rolls you can make vs. the enemy.  And also see who has the advantage (++, --) and why.  After some time you'll know the features of the different units.

2)  Units locked in melee should always resolve combat (you can't skip resolving the melee on your turn).  Think of it as they have already locked in heated combat and the situation is totally chaotic. The unit will will continue to fight until they or the enemy retreats. Yes they don't retreat at will but only when morale is getting lower.
