bug? archers are faster than cavalery

Based on Slitherine’s popular tabletop wargaming system by the same name, Field of Glory now comes to the PC in a faithful adaptation of this acclaimed miniatures wargame! Without the calculations and measurements required for a tabletop game of Field of Glory, the PC version accurately represents Ancient and Medieval combat where you make the important and fun decisions on the battlefield. This forum also supports the Rise of Rome, Storm of Arrows and Immortal Fire expansions to Field of Glory.

bug? archers are faster than cavalery

Post by nukkxx5058 »

Question is in the title. My archers have more movement points thatn my cavalery. Seems odd to me...

Could be wrong or maybe it simulates their ability to mount an attack or melt away in the face of superior strength?

I think the table top game has the same movement allowances.

As the owner of the tabletop top game, Archers as Light Infantry ARE faster then Knights/Cataphracts and Light/heavy Chariots in any terrain.
The same speed as Cavalry in Open terrain, faster then Cavalry in all other terrain.
Light Cavalry is faster then Light Infantry in the Open or Uneven terrains slower in Rough or Difficult terrains.

Archers as Medium Infantry are still very mobile, the same as Knights/Cataphracts in the Open, faster then them in more rugged terrain.

So no, not a bug.

I am considering buying this game. Been reading all the threads and getting a good feeling about it. Plus don't need to paint the <censored> mini's.
