Raider HQ Reopens - September 1st

Post by Wild Bill »

Just to advise you the grand re-opening of the WBR HQ site will be on September 1st.

Neil Stalker and I have taken it upon ourselves to reopen the page with lots of good things for you fellas.

The theme will be Flesh and Steel...Tanks in the Pacific. There will be articles, interesting URLs, editing insights. Plus we'll be offering scenarios and campaigns for SPWAW, Squad Battles, and Steel Panthers III.

You will find us at Military Gamer Online.

http://www.militarygameronline.com/raiders/

And while you are there, please pay a visit to the other fine Raider sites. We'll look forward to your visit and your feedback.

More to come!

Thanks, Vetkin! I'm also a Vetkin.

I wish you good hunting! Give me an update when you're done. I'd be very interested in it.

Glad you liked the articles. I enjoy writing and reading. It gets me "in the mood" for the fight.

Yup, nothing beats a good WW2 book like Alan Clark's Barbarossa, Ambrose's Band of Brothers or Keegan's The Second World War to get me in the mood hehehehe

Well... Maybe the first 15 minutes of Saving Private Ryan... hehe Watching that movie makes me wanna play Omaha beach over and over again :D (In SP:WAW AND Medal of Honor: Allied Assault) hehehe

BTW, I'm in the 3rd mission of the campaign now, got a draw and a major victory the first two missions (in that order.)

I never knew log rifle pits could pose problems... I even jumped on my seat a few times when mines exploded... Geez haha :D

Good work Wild Bill, you have somehow made the Japanese Army AI smarter! I think they were doing a pincer attack on me on the 2nd mission... or it could just be my imagination :D

COngrats! Nice job, Vetkin!

Yes, that is a pincer movement on the tanks. We put in a few tricks but I won't reveal too many of them at this point.

The Japanese are no fools in this one, though in the alternate battles (should you have gotten a minor) you'll see some Banzai charges (G).

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Welcome back Robot!

Congratulations on surviving that ordeal! I know it must have been frightening for you. I hope you are doing okay now.

Yes, it is good, very good to have you back with us. Take it slow and easy for awhile. Don't get too emotional about these latest battles

I'm really glad to be back and glad you are too!
