New Short Scenarios

Post by Rmars »

I'm new and my apologies if this has been said/asked/posted before.

Are there plans to release new scenarios of short to moderate length games?

Is it likely people will post their own scenarios on this forum eventually?

Invasion of France, Operation Barbarossa, Operation Citadel, Battle of the Bulge, Race to Berlin and other such ventures? Games that last 10-100 turns rather than 100+? I enjoyed the invasion of Poland and Overlord and would like to see more in that style of play.

Thanks much.

When Storm over Pacific is finished, we will decide what to do. Within SoP there are a few shorter scenarios so thanks to players opinions we will be able to estimate whether  such scenarios would be also interesting for many ToW players.

Not sure if this has been asked. Will TOW and SOP be linkable to play a global game?

I think Bitter Glory will be just that, any comments from the devs?

@TexHorns
Linking two such huge games would be an interesting idea, but at the moment it is beyond our plans.

The global game you might be able to find in Bitter Glory which should be released in less than a year. Of course the gameplay feel will be somewhat different.

It is inevitable. BG is a kind of ultimate ww2 simulator, but out of “world of TBS games”. It is much more like one big game published this year, but without 3D and with hexes instead of provinces. Also we had started making BG before we had initial contact with RtV engine. That is why today merging ToW and SoP into one being only could be considered as a part distant and still unfixed plans.

There is a topic at the forum: tm.asp?m=1873656&mpage=1&key=Bitter%2CGlory - should you have any question regarding the game just ask ;)

Also you can go to WI home forum and browse through my devdiaries http://forum.wastelands-interactive.com ... .php?f=105 (which now are suspended until we make small graphic revolution).
