CHS question

I have installed AB's special map and CHS scenario 155, when I run the scenario some plane graphics are missing, also every time I click on the Canadian SC's at Victoria the game crashes! Any thoughts anyone? I know most people have migrated to AE, but there must be someone left here that is familiar with CHS.

I'm no expert on problems with CHS installations, but I have been playing a long term CHS scenario 157 game without problem.

Are you switching between standard map and AB map? Although it seemed to work fine for me, I felt happier having a second installation of WitP and using that exclusively for anything involving the AB map. A second installation might work for you.

The problem sounds more like one involving a mismatch of the art files. Are you using anyone's custom art packages? And have you taken a look at what is said about the update to the CHS base art package on the CHS Download page? Might installing this update make a difference?

There are art files that need to load with modselect bat file. i available for game if you want also. chs 155 is main game.

I know you can switch, but like Local Yokel, I just made a second installation as I felt more comfy with it. Maybe you can try that and see if it fixes your plane art issues.

I'm fairly sure this is a problem with the art files. As indicated, you have to get the latest aircraft and ship art files from the CHS page.
