patch?

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

There is a patch in the works. From what I understand, it is on a lower priority than some new project at this time. I don't recall ever seeing an ETA for the patch. So, there will be one some day, but it is not common knowledge when that day will be.

Although there are many suggestions for improvements, the game is quite stable and playable in its current state.

well I really would expect it to be as a redo of the first COG, which was a stable game..
Thanks for the input.. are you enjoying new cog?

06 Maestro sums it up well: there is a patch in the works, it's been slowed down in part by other projects, and an ETA has never been announced (because we've learned our lesson never, ever to predict a release date for a patch, which always jinxes it).

This is not to say that no work is being done on it -- some additional coding was done last week, and I'd expect more sometime next week, as the holiday will interrupt the normal work flow.

I do enjoy this game. In fact, my last marathon gaming session for perhaps the next 6 months utilized CoGEE. I do have a broad selection of games.

I am particularly interested in how the new to this edition tactical combat works out, in FORGE it was really tough as you never really knew when your troops would break.. I did love all the little unit specific upgrades.. I have yet to get this going , although I own it, call it WITPAE itus, no time dreams of troops ships gettingre routed ! lol
Anyway, this is on my "against the ai" list..
Are the folks here playing pbem or ai? both?
Some games lend themselves to ai, I like the ability to adjust the levels for each country at the start, again, only tinkered and not actually got it  going although have played a bit of the origonal

Thanks guys and keep up the good work...
and
Thanks forthis being vista 64 compatible!

1) The easiest way in FoF and CoG:EE to tell when one of your units will break, is to look at its morale, when it comes down to around 2, it will break very soon.
2) Both. I really enjoy both Pbem and against the AI, alot of challenges here.
