Game Stats

Based on Slitherine’s popular tabletop wargaming system by the same name, Field of Glory now comes to the PC in a faithful adaptation of this acclaimed miniatures wargame! Without the calculations and measurements required for a tabletop game of Field of Glory, the PC version accurately represents Ancient and Medieval combat where you make the important and fun decisions on the battlefield. This forum also supports the Rise of Rome, Storm of Arrows and Immortal Fire expansions to Field of Glory.

Game Stats

Post by blastpop »

For completed PBEM games I would like to see a win loss ratio overall and also against each opponent. In addition I would like to have a column added of the side you played and whether you won or lost.

Would add a cool additional bit of info and add some meaning to the listing of games completed.

I would think this might be easy to accomplish with the next patch.

Thoughts?

It's on the list but its not as simple as it sounds :)

It is to do with assymchronous gameplay and preventing cheating. If you lose a game and dont look at teh turn, it wont report the results. We need to make sure the stats can be cheated before we let them go live as you know there is always one who will spoil the fun :)

We need the server to report the results rather than the players machine which is a change to the basic system which is a bit fiddly and not somethign to do just before a holiday in case it all goes horribly wrong :)

I see what you are saying, Iain. My thoughts were to have this on the summary screen of completed battles that only the player sees, in other words, his own personal results of completed games. I guess in tandem, you could take the results to create a ladder for the individual battles and overall as well.

Well, in any event, it would for me, add to the competition and level of game playsince players may hone their skills to make improvements to their results.

Thanks!

If possible this is the way to go.....

Not yet, when I mentioned to the boss (ie the mrs) that it was relatively cheap I was told not to buy it in case I get something similar to christmas. Had no further mention, therefore I anticipate I'll be buying in on boxing day (do you think they will do a boxing day sale?? [;)][:)])
