Saved game crashes

Hello all -

I am having an issue with a saved campaign file - the game crashes after I select units and it loads map graphics and the screen briefly displays "Ready!"

I get an error that is generated referencing CCE.EXE. I am running the latest build of the game - I bought it recently and until now, it's run perfectly fine.

I shall attach the saved game file. Unfortunately, it is larger than the 500KB limit, thus I will save it as Campaign_Saved_Game.txt. If you choose to download it, change the .txt extention to .zip and then extract. The file is 1,916KB unzipped.

Any assistance you could provide would be sincerely appreciated! Happy Holidays to all of you....

Dirk, Is this saved game one you were playing before you updated to the latest build?

FYI playing old game saves after updating to new builds will cause crashes. You must restart any GC's you have going if you've updated your build.

Thank you for your response. I recently bought the game (it came with the most recent build). I haven't updated anything as no updates have been released since I purchased it. I have played the game and saved without issues thus far - the game file just corrupted out of the blue. I have been playing in campaign mode for a while now and haven't had any issues.

Naturally, I am nearing the end of the campaign when this happens!

On the splash screen, what version of the game is shown?    5.0  5.1  ?

I agree with Joe98. Double check your version as I didn't think Matrix applied the patches to their full build of the games based on other posts in the forums....

The newest version is 5.50.07 from Nov. 5/2009: tm.asp?m=2285606
