Every player has to load one turn file each turn. A one file rotation scheme would not permit people to see progress/result from other turns.

Again, this is easily worked around.

Pack the turns into one file, from the last time the player went. This was talked about ad nasuem in this thread and this excuse Marshall is not an excuse at all.

Yet it appears you want to keep rehashing this. Just because you say something is "easy" does not make it a fact. Marshall understands this code better than anyone. So if this was as easy to implement as you say. Wouldn't you think he would add it?

Just a guess, but more likely is that he looked at this and it is more invloved (if possible at alll) and would use resources he feels are better allocated to other tasks with a higher priority that the players want.

Happy Holidays!!!

Hear, hear !

Considering Marshall CONSTANTLY forgets what he reads on here and does something totally different only later to say "Oops... let me change that again"..

..NO, I don't think he would. He has a lot on his plate and reminding him isn't going to hurt (well, except you apparently).

There is no doubt that I forget a TON EVERY day! BUT I can tell that this would NOT be easy this far into the project. There is much more that I will do way before you even need to remind me (And I do need reminding from time to time :-) ) about this one again.
Thank you

Well, ok, I forgot that the code to this game (the "engine" I presume) lacks robustness. My apologies.

I just had to download and load 17 files in order to spend less than a minute adding some cav factors to my army.

Ridiculous? I think so.

Why are you waiting to download all the files?

Is this an argument for an option to delay cav reinforcement a month, to allow more skipping?

Would IP make the loading of files unnecessary? I'm wondering if we would be working that would become obsolete in version 1.11

I'd rather see more EIA features, than file loading, if file loading is going to be that hard (although I suspect it might be easier that anticipated).

Because I don't rush to my computer to download a file everytime someone sends out an email letting the players know it's posted. Why would I do THAT!!??

Dancing Bear, no, I'm merely suggesting that it would be nice if something were one about this very annoying problem EiANW happens to have, though it doesn't come up for me that often anymore since I'm only in 1 game.

It takes what, all of a minute to download the file into the proper folder? Then when its your turn you fire the game up, click through the turns, spending as much time as you deem necessary going through the phases, then doing your own phase?  If the game is moving as slow as you say it is, and your as good a player as you say you are, you'll have your move done in what, a minute?  2 minutes Tops?

I bet it takes more effort for you to write a post complaining about the game then it does to download files and play.
