AI cancels production changes

Post by hermanhum »

I'm trying out scenario 42A as the Japanese side. This is my first time using the production system. I tried to make a few changes, but the game seems to change them back on its own. For example, I have changed my Sonia DB production plant to Ann production because I like the plane better. However, after a few days, the game invariably changes it back to what it was before.

I have tried to do this for a few other planes and the same thing happens. Am I doing something wrongly? Is this a known problem?

Changes for some other planes seem to have stuck, but not for others. The game has progressed from May 1, 1942 and is now about September 17, 1942.

Thanks in advance for any help rendered.

There are some factories that automatically upgrade to newer types. I think the game automatically upgrades the factories from Ann to Sonia after you change them from Sonia to Ann. You might be able to edit the scenario (or a copy of the scenario) before starting a game to change the upgrade paths, though I have never tried this myself.
