I do play. I play extensively. I know it's not perfect, nothing ever is. I do not, and did not, criticise the community, so your comment is the disengenuous one. I was looking for a sub-forum where people might be more like me. Apparently this is not happening here.

I for one would like to know just what you mean by "people...more like me"? Would you care to elaborate? What are you like? [&:]

Heck, I'm still trying to figure out what part of bsq's post was disingenuous. I suspect everybody is just supposed to know already what RD is like (and be suitably impressed). After all, he is sec level 5.

Sounds suspiciously like a mid-level bureaucrat who's job is primarily to shovel sh*t for his boss, and take the blame when his boss's boss doesn't like the way the sh*t is piled.

There are a few people llike him on this forum. They are on my green button list. Though I think he set the record for getting there the fastest.

Yeah, he did make pretty good time (in terms of number of posts) onto my green button list too. Congratulations, dude-I think that's a record!

The only way that anyone will beat this time is if, on their very first post, they tell everyone on the forum to go and f*** themselves. I mean, why wait for the SECOND post to do so?

The discussions regarding meanings and history of the word Grognard are the two best thing that came from this thread. I seem to be in good company! Thanks folks! [:D]

If you are interested in the WW2 Pacific Theatre and/or WW2 naval warfare, WITPAE is a very nice game.

Never judge a game based on Internet Forums, I have never seen one where even the most die-hard supporters don't spend most of their time nitpicking the 1-2% of the game that could be improved while ignoring the 98-99% of the game that works well.

You're in the right forum, but maybe you should play the game a bit - note that whilst it's brilliant, it's not perfect (probably never will be - not for everyone) - and then perhaps lurk a bit before wading in - after all you have only been on the forum for less than a couple of hours or so and have only just bought the game by your own admission - so to criticise elements of the community some with many thousands of valuable posts is disingenuous at best

If you ask a specific question, there are forum members who will give you an interpretation or advice.
I believe that the forum responders don't have a clear idea what you are asking.

So ask away.[;)]

This game grew from a game that a lot of us played early on called Uncommon Valor,
We spent a few years playing that game and from our Gripes they developed War In The Pacific
and we spent a few years playing that wich In turn became this AE version with all the bells and whistles we
asked for in many days of Uncommon Valor,
This game is a living breathing War Gaming animal that just gets better and better and better over time, The only thing missing
is there version of the European Theater ....(......HINT HINT Grigsby.....)

It is my understanding that WITP was already planned (under development?) when UV was created, the idea being that UV was the test bed for ideas that went into WITP.

You are correct I should have been clearer in that we asked for adjustments and additions and recieved them aplenty...:)

Now we're getting somewhere...[;)]

The funny thing is that after they gave us some of the adjustments we asked for, we were wishing that they hadn't! I'm trying to recall some of the specific ones but my memory is failing me...

This game is the "best" to be found.
