Map Question

Post by New York Jets »

I have downloaded v1.70 and the Carnifex Mod and have a few questons.

What does the RR Locomotive symbol in the hex with some of the cities mean?

Are there weather restrictions of Air Missions (Snow, Mud, etc.)?

What are all of the ranges for the Air Missions and are they affected by weather?

More to follow, I'm sure...

The RR Loco symbol I believe means the city is a main supply source. You can check that by clicking on the city hex and looking at the hex description. The weather restriction on airmissions that I have noticed is that when conductiong an air missioninto a weather effected hexthe air mission is less effective and there seems to be a greater chance of losing aircraft. I have not noticed airmission ranges effected by anything other than the level of air research and thus the level of air units.

These are all unofficial observations.

LOL... I like this. I may have to start using it myself.

Yep, you are correct Tex. The RR symbol denotes a Main Supply Source. Ranges of Aircraft are affected by their level of Air Tech. The weather thing I'm not so sure of. It appears that Air units tend have better results in Good weather compared to Mud and Snow, but I can't confirm this. It certainly sounds reasonable though.
Assume nothing.

LOL yea Harb, sometimes when I'm reading and/or writing posts I feel a need to duck... by adding a disclaimer at the end I hope to avoid any hay-makers.
