Soviet partisan costs only 27-33 points !!!!

Ordinary infarny costs same !!!!!

Note that there is only 6 men in a Soviet partisan squad. Germany spec ops squad has 10 men.

I think that Russian partisans cost so little to reflect the historical aspect of them being so expendible and numerious. German special forces such as the Brandenburgers were excellant elite troops, but very limited in numbers and availability. I think the game cost is well thought out in this respect. The cost should not only reflect the effectiveness of the unit, but also their historical context.

The Partisans and guerrillas in the game generally reflect their original purpose, confusion and disruption.

You will find generally they do not stand up well to concentrated fire. While they do possess the quality of appearing in "unwanted" places, they don't usually have the weapons of the "stand up and fight" quality of regular troops. I personally think it is as it should be now.

The game only considers battlefield effectiveness for unit costs.

While we're talking about partisans, Special forces, and guerillers. There is one point that does annoy me about them.
When you buy them by the company, you often get an M/G or light motor, but when you come to place your units behind enemy lines, the game won't let you place the company heavy weapons! They have to be placed as normal!
I guess most people buy Special Forces types to place behind the line, so why bother giving them heavy weapons if they can't use them in support
