Allied Cooperation

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Allied Cooperation

When playing the AI, once you make an alliance, is there any way to make coordinated efforts, attacks on the same objectives?

Not in a single player game. Of course, there is the "luck of the draw" were the ai will choose the area you wish it too.

HiHi

Not 100% on this as I now only play PBEM, but I think if you go to your 'Military Screen' somewhere (?in the bottom left hand corner) is something like 'Rally points' which you could utilise to set allies convergance points (it relates to the Events message "x" cant rally due to low National Moral, just in case you wondered :-) )

Never used it but yeah, have heard that that "rally" thing is supposed to influence the AI.

Kid -

I've used this in the past and had some success.  It depends on the ally (and their "interest" in helping you out = how favorable you are in their eyes) and it also depends on where you are asking them to go to (England MAY not be so open to the idea of meeting you in Turkey).  That being said, I have (as Poland) gotten the French to meet me in parts of Austria and open up a second front to take some pressure off of Krakow.  You need to stay on top of your ally (meaning make sure you check that box every turn because some times they will not move and need to be "reminded").  I have also found that if you give them some $ each turn or at least supply some depots for them they are more willing to help out.

Of course, it is similar to the real world where even though you are on friendly terms with a country it is a whole different ball game sending your troops to help out.  Makes for fun and challenge.  I can only imagine what it would be like with a human playing each country and the back room deals to get some troops to meet you somewhere!

Ok, thanks. Looks like I'll have to restart again. I'm playing Great Britain and what is left of my army is stranded on the continent.
