Training Groups

Post by hithere »

I have spent about 2 hours looking through post but still have some questions.....there are alot of post that contradict others

1) what units can become training groups? I have units with a 80+ commander that I pulled from the training command, but when i click past "elite 90+" it just goes back to "any." The groups I am trying this with are not in restricted HQ's. The closest answer I can find is to use editor, but I really don't know how and would rather not go through, what, 1000's of airgroups.

2) I have about 80 pilots in the training command...I know this will not train past the national limit, but does 80 do better than 10?

on a side note, I have attempted to make a unit in San Fran, Columbo, and Noumea

on a side, side note, for the search arcs, what is the differance between blue and green? I have not searched that, but figured since I took the time to do a password recovery from my profile from Uncommon Valor....

thanks

The Training Group function was removed in one of the upgrades, I think 1095 was the one that removed this feature that was introduced in 1094.  Training Group function is no longer there.

Training groups created with 1094 will remain training groups in 1095 its just that you cannot create any new ones. Somewhere there is a reason for them being removed, I think it had something to do with the speed at which you could train at.

The button determines the experience level of the pilots that will join the unit when you request an extra pilot. In the case of 'elite 90 +' you can't go any high so the button starts to cycle through the options again. If there are none with that experience level I think you get the highest available.

there are several training groups of the japanese which appear during 1945, equipped with obsolete airplanes. These are meant for Kamikaze missions.

Yes, but if you had any units as training groups before the patch then they still are there as training groups. After a certain amount of time you can manually turn them back into regular groups. From then on they can never be turned back but the system works now so that you can just use individual groups as training groups. You will just need to learn how to remove the good pilots to the pool and replace them with new pilots.

There is a lot more micro managment needed for pilots now. A pain in the butt, but kind of fun too. I suspect that later in the war, the Allies will not need to manage pilots as much and the Japanese will alway have to.
