windows 7 issue with starting

Hello all I am having trouble starting the game since I have installed windows 7.

Currently when I click the play armada the main menu screen pops up, then the program will stop working and be closed right away.

The game worked previously with vista, i did have the nvidia card battle problem but once I reduced the settings like the tech support FAQ recommended this worked fine. I thought maybe this was the .NET problem, but I saw windows 7 is already supposed to have the latest .NET included.

Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated.

I have been able to get this to work, not 100% sure if it was the problem but apparently I had to re-update my video card drivers after I switched to windows 7
