January is not a good time, but the first of October is even worse. The Soviets fall back till early Sprng, then the Axis fun is about over. I am playing a stock campaign, Soviets only, with a declaration of war on Romania in early October, and we are scrapping man to man as Spring approaches. I am hoping for vigorous German resistance, and so far it has not been bad.
My strategic bombers are pounding Berlin (2-15) and this cannot be a good sign for the Germans. Denmark is still in the game and my fleet in the Baltic has been pounding the German fleet. Now I need to find a way to get the fleet out.
Once we finish off the Axis we can help western Europe shatter the chains that bind them.

Well I might have spoken to soon, since my initial objective was testing my mod I was playing the Soviets conservatively. I didn't go to war with Finland but I did get all the other territory concessions without a fight.
Right now my WE is only at 57% with Civil Order at 97%, I rejected the Industrialization about 10 times I think.
I was trying to build a defense in depth with mostly infantry corps, while researching as much as possible.
I was going to wait for the AI to attack no matter but it invaded early.
That could bring about my demise, I have no reserves and I'm plugging holes wherever possible. My Front Lines, I mean my only line is crumbling in several spots. I am still determined to take out Romania if possible.
There will be no further posts in this thread due to circumstances beyond my control. I was unable to load the saved game and could not find a work around.
C'est la vie.
