Campaigns on the Danube: ARRRGHHHHH!

Post by HarryInk »

I posted this complaint on the CotD forum, but I'm not sure anyone will see it there!:

tm.asp?m=2352675&mpage=1&key=

I would like to think that Matrix and Adanax publishes games that work but haven't had that happy experience yet. :(

I reviewed my previous issues at the helpdesk, wondering how long support to resolve the problems with CotD might take:

4055 Campaigns on the Danube does not work Customer submitted: 1/21/2010 modified:(?)1/22/2010

3983 DIGITAL RE-DOWNLOAD BLOCKED & i CANNOT UNBLOCK IT submitted 1/13/2010 & Resolved 1/17/2010

3380 Campaign on the Danube crashing at battle resolution submitted 10/22/2009 & Resolved 12/15/2009

I was grateful for the speed of resolving the download problem (as I fretted my re-download subscription would end --  that'll teach me to order a physical disk in the future).

However, perhaps I'll have to wait the best part of two months to find out what to do about the current problem.  Funny thing is, the battle resolution (fault 3380) isn't really resolved at all. :(   The patch .221 hasn't sorted this issue, even though I'm on an XP OS now (and should need only the first two patches -- however without it the game won't even start!).

If a resolution isn't forthcoming, is a refund possible?

I'd like to acknowledge that Frank Hunter, the designer, contacted me and provided the key missing file that was making CotD unusuable.  Since then it seems to be behaving itself.  Thank you Frank. :)
