Field of Glory expansion announced

Based on Slitherine’s popular tabletop wargaming system by the same name, Field of Glory now comes to the PC in a faithful adaptation of this acclaimed miniatures wargame! Without the calculations and measurements required for a tabletop game of Field of Glory, the PC version accurately represents Ancient and Medieval combat where you make the important and fun decisions on the battlefield. This forum also supports the Rise of Rome, Storm of Arrows and Immortal Fire expansions to Field of Glory.

+1 Even though I haven't had time to play FoG properly yet. A great game though and this expansion looks like it will be a must buy.
2nd Lt. George Rice: Looks like you guys are going to be surrounded.
Richard Winters: We're paratroopers, Lieutenant, we're supposed to be surrounded.

You're kidding me. They are going to charge for the army builder which should have been there all along.

Even without that, the base game, including patch enhancements is proving a really great buy, fun and speedy to play and the multiplayer (ie for playing human opponents) works like a dream.

I have never played the table top version but it reminds me of all those things that I used to look for years ago when playing wargame research rules but never really got to do because of the hassle (time, painting up figures, preparation, finding opponents etc) involved. I signed up for the expansion pack too; just hope it works with my matrix original - the patches have so fingers crossed.

Can we assume, like the slitherine patches, it is automatically compatible with the matrix version ?

We will be carrying it at the same price as Slitherine at release, but we do not do pre-orders. So if you want to pre-order your best bet is to get it through them.
