Ack! this is a terrible bug!

Started a pbem game and had the turn sent to me, as I was going through my forces I clicked on the lae airbase I toggled my zeros stationed thier when all of a sudden the screen changes to my opponents:eek: with all of his forces thier for me to see! this has happened on more than one occasion now its a real pain to shield my hand over the screen and try and not to look at his forces and try and click quit...i have noticed that this seems to have begun when i installed some beta drivers for my g4 ti4600...has anybody had this happened to them or is there some wird thing I am doing wrong?...P.S this always happens when I goto the lae air base i.e click on the base icon or the airbase icon.

Can you send detailed info on your UV version, system specs, etc. to rossm@matrixgames.com along with instructions on how to duplicate what you're seeing? Thanks in advance.

I am Matt's PBEM opponent for the game he is talking about. We had Windows Messanger working both times he saw this bug and he told me as soon as he saw the bug he mentioned. I have my save files for the game in question, but I dont know if they would be any help.

My opponent has also reported this two times so far (Scenario 19)
We are playing with messenger on also. Next occurrence will save and e-mail.

I use Trillian (does ICQ, AIM, MSN and Yahoo all in one) and have no problems.

I don't know if this messenger program you use is voice or text but, if you are looking for a good voice chat program, try www.gamevoice.com . It is free and has very clear chat. It is peer to peer so it doesn't rely on any server anywhere.

A question I have: Does this switching of sides occur when playing as both American and Japanese or just as Japanese?

I have never seen the bug as the Allied player, but my opponent Matt has seen it twice as the Japanese player.

Also, I was not trying to imply that Windows Messanger was a possible cause of the problem. I was just pointing out that Matt immediately reported the problem as soon as he saw it thru Windows Messanger, and that I could verify Matt told me the same thing as he reported here.

I've had the same bug and it happened just the same way, I was fixing my planes when the side changed to opponents. This has happened twice in PBEM games and both times I was playing US:

were you clicking on any bases in the western part of the map?
i.e newguinea? specfically lae in last nights game I clicked on the lae base I'm pretty leery of doing that alot these days...any way
the airbase refused to give me a specific squadron and when I tried the button "proceed to next group" it refused to do so
the only way I could access the the fighter group was to do so
using the "show all land base fighters" icon at the top of the map
I'm definetly having all of my problems at this end of the map
kinda of a drag reallyas I have alot going on at this base.

ok it showed its ugly face again...and as always it was at lae...the airbase icon as usaul try clikicking the next airgroup button then click the airfield again that usaully does it I have saved the files for this so it shouldn't be hard to duplicate...

Received the saves from you, but it would also be helpful if you could send a description of exactly how to duplicate the problem on your computer. Please send that to erikr@matrixgames.com, rossm@matrixgames.com and jabgamer@2by3games.com. I think I've got it from your posts, but it's best to be certain before testing and either sending it on to the developers or not.

FYI, to my knowledge we have not tested with the 40.41 drivers yet. I'm running 30.82 without any problems.
