"Lt. Rutins" just showed up in my PBEM, flying a Brewster Buffalo (I think) in Malaya for my opponent. I don't think he shot down any of my Nates, but I don't think I shot him down, either. Maybe my opponent will track his career and write an AAR centered around him. "Little plane, big war," something like that. Anyway, I'll try to get him to divulge the whereabouts and health of the good lieutenant.

(For newcomers to the forum: Erik Rutins is one of the esteemed members of the Matrix Games team. I'm sure it's completely coincidental that his namesake is flying a fighter in AE. )

I've got a Grigsby and a Vebber in my game. Vebber is a scrub with 35 experience but Grigsby has a few kills in his Hurricane. [:D]

You will see the names Rutins, Grigsby, Vebber, Brors, Schwanebeck and Heath consistently among the officers in this game. The name Dunnigan even shows up on a frequent basis!

I'm playing Japan, so I never get to see these guys unless they show up in air-to-air, as Lt. Rutins just did in my current PBEM. Unless maybe there's a Wilkersonomoto or something.

Well, one of the great things about war plan orange is that Tankerace allowed you to put up your name for as a ship's captain before the game was published. My named showed up as the captain of an armored crusier.

I demand it the other way around.
