Need help!

I've tried Witp tracker AE V.1.4.
Looks great! Good job.
But i can' export the Aircraft data.
In "Export CSV" i have the choise of export "Airgroups", but I'm interested in data set "Aircraft"

How can I export the aircarft data?

Greetings from germany [:)]
Sorry, we haven't set that up yet so you're not able to do that with Tracker, although if you use
witpload.exe in
c:\Matrix Games\War In The Pacific Admiral's Edition\SCEN
and use the parameters
witploadae.exe /e /s01

This will extract the information for scenario 1 (s01) as xls files.

I'll add that to Tracker as well for the next release
witploadae.exe /e /s01

Hi floydg,

Can you explain, or direct me to where it's posted, how to manually read in the sigint files? What is the process?

Also, thank you both for your devotion/time/effort spent working on the tracker, it's an invaluable tool and completely makes the game more managable and less daunting. I'm among the many that totally appreciate it.

Thank you both again.

Glad to hear you're getting some use of the tool.

In the Turn menu, there is a menu item for reading in Text Files. Choose that option and then navigate/select the text file containing the sigint file for a turn you've read a save game for.

If the sigint for that turn has already been read in, you'll get an option to over-write it (in case you read in the sigint for the right turn, but wrong game). Otherwise, that should be all there is to it.

Let us know if you have any problems.

Floyd
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Hey, sorry to bug you guys. I love the tracker and have never had problems with it, but now, after I've loaded about a hundred turns on my current game, I'm getting the memory problem. I tried the two suggestions you have posted on troubleshooting section but no joy. Nothing at all happens if I use the jar file. when I use the bat file it says tables loaded in xx seconds, like usual, but then immediately crashes to the mem prob.

I noticed that I cannot associate the bat file using the "open with" dialog because that option doesn't exist for the bat file (only the jar file)

Also, I'm a bit confused by the instructions. Is the bat or the jar file preferable? I have always used the bat file. Until this week, never had problems with it. I am using 1.4, I copied over the bat file and have used it for a few weeks of game time with no probs. I run XP and have Java all the way updated. Is it possible a windows update was installed recently which may be messing with it?

Thanks again for the excellent program.

The batch file should always be used, the JAR file doesn't have any memory considerations so will only work (probably) with an initial load ... I'd say edit your batch file to increase your memory settings and try to run again. 100 turns is not so great and we are working on reducing the load times, but I never run more than 50 turns before deleting the DB and restarting...

There is a lot of data we are saving and using and well this is at present not something we have overcome.

You should be able to keep loading turns. If there truly is a memory issue, perhaps you can increase the settings in the bat file.

Floyd, do you have a suggestion for increased java memory settings in the bat file?  I can never keep the different java heap parameters straight. [:D]

The science on how I got to those numbers was quite suspect. I just kept bumping up the numbers by 64K or so until it worked. I started with the JVM default values and kept going...

Sounds like how I've done it in the past.  Poke around in the dark with a fork long enough, and you'll eventually find the electric socket.  [:D]

hi damien

tracker is reporting on my last turn 5 ships sunk -

however, *no* ships were sunk. The friendly's she is reporting sunk are alive and well.

I checked all 5 of them - confirmed they are still undamaged and on the map. All 5 have various causes for their sinking. Tracker DOES give the correct coordinates of the ships - but not of their status.

any idea what could cause this?

In game, are they reported sunk as FOW (Intelligence screen - sunk ships)? If not, then Floyd will probably like to see the savefile, your properties file and a description of the ships reported sunk...
Thanks Jacko123 and have a good one[;)]

No - not reported as sunk (they are friendlies) - so no FOW is in operation.

I am going to run another turn tonight and see if it recurs.

Please send the file to Floyd, we need to crush that bug if it is our problem, or report it to the Dev's if it's a game thing ...

It looks like search arcs are not quite displayed properly. Arcs seem to always be shown with separate morning and afternoon arcs, even when they are set to overlap.
