Thanks to some very positive comments on your H2H mod, Leo, I'm about to give it a try.

I'm very conservative about these things, generally sticking to the default, but the praise has been heaped upon this mod and all it offers.

So...I'm going to give it a try.

By the way, you have a great website. The Blitzkrieg should feel honored to have you there. A great job, PL!

You and me, too, WB! I've just begun designing my first H2H scenario. The German unit names can be a bit confusing, and I'm still not sure where their air force is located, but I'm having fun with it. :D
Retreat is NOT an option.

From what I've detected already, this is a version that is perfect for 2 player + games.

Scenario designers, of course, will need to use care with H2H and not make the usual allowances for AI stupidity or there will be imbalance.

I like the smaller victory flags. The ammo boxes and the shelters are also a nice new touch. Wish we had them in the original. You did well, Panzer Leo...WB

H2H new units

Post by RockinHarry »

I would like to know if H2H mod players make use of the new loadable bunkers/shelters and the command units? :) Have some opinions or experiences with them guys?

I would like to use these stuff in some future H2H scenarios.

Hello mein freund!

How are the things going?

Well, I tested a little with them with a H2H variation for Demyansk..yes, I didn't give up yet :D..but time constraints and real life are demanding so much now..
My few observations showed that they offer a quite good protection against Arty fire and this brings good possibilities for designers..that's all for while.

I knew you are working into a Panzer Elite mod..is it true?

Well, take care mate

Alessandro

Thanks for your kind words, Bill :)

I hope you will not change your mind about the module after testing it a while :D

The ammo boxes are directly stolen from your Norwegian scenario...I played it a real long time ago and can't remeber it's name, but it was an airport capture by FJ troops with ammo canisters. From that point on I thought it would be a neat idea to have them always available, if you want (and especially transport them like you want - my favourite is the mule - makes it through every terrain :D ). So you were more or less directly involved in the creation of H2H :)

The credits for the website belong 100% to Fabio. He was the one who helped starting the whole H2H thing as download and once he had problems with the bandwidth, he donated the great site he had created for me to further use it on it's new home at the Blitz.
So once again the SPWAW community benefitted from this restless guy - thanks Fabio ! :D

BTW, the Luftwaffe is in the Norwegian OOB from '41 on. The EXP/Mor and leadership ratings are adjusted to German standards and these units are normally purchaseable.

Hello friend,

yes...too bad, we can´t have time for it all! :( I´m still busy with Barbarossa41 Panzer Elite mod and it keeps me from doing any scenario designing for SPWAW at the moment.
Don´t give up on Demyansk!:) Did you consider using H2H mod for it too?

c ya later :)
