Orzel on the Move...

Post by Orzel Bialy »

I will be out of the loop for about a week or so starting this weekend...as we are moving into a new house come Sunday.

I will try to play my turn in Kursk before Sunday...but after that it will probably be towards the end of next week before I get things un-packed and set up...so please bear with me!

ps...Jess, I'll try to get the Gettysburg map done as soon as I can...but this week has been taken up mostly by work, paperwork and packing...sorry about that. :( But I'll get to it as best I can in the meantime.

Thanks. ;)

Good now I don't have to rush the Kursk turn, it will be waiting when you return. Good luck

Good luck on your move, my friend! Probably one of the least loved experiences ever, even though the end result can be better!

Can you make a map for me and Boro.
This is what we are looking for. Small map in Europe. Well balanced with only 2 victory hexes. One on both sides. We would like trees, hills, roads, and a few buildings. No water please. Our time frame is January 1944. So snow (white would be cool). I know your moving but when you get a chance. Boro and I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Map not a problem...

Post by Orzel Bialy »

but when you say Europe do you mean something of a Russian Steppe flavor or Western Europe? Their layouts are somewhat different when I create them...so just let me know.

I was thinking more of the Western Europe. Thanks.

Orzel could you

Post by Gary Tatro »

make me another map also? Please. :)
I am starting a 4 player game and need a extra large map of Stalingrad. I think that you could steal from the six Stalingrad maps already made. What the situation is is Germans attacking from the South, Finland attacking from the North, Russia in the middle and US trying to relieve Stalingrad from the East. Does that give you enough to map the map? Each player is getting 12000 points.

Now that's an order! ;)

I am still sifting through boxes as we speak from the move...

Orzel to wife: "honey, where's the box with my history books?"
Mrs Orzel: "which one?"
Orzel: "Hmmm, good question...the ones with the WW2 maps."
Mrs Orzel: "That doesn't really narrow it down...try over there."
Orzel: "Ok....Nope...that one had your Fredericks of Hollywood stuff.....where are my books?"
****Strange look from Mrs Orzel****
Orzel: "Hey!!! What the Hell am I thinking!?!?!?" :D :D :D

Anyway...Let me see what I can do. I'm having to check my mail from work, since I won't have my phone hooked up until the 3rd of the month...dang Holiday bottleneck! I probably won't be back into the swing of things until the end of this week...so I'll see what I can do with what free time I can wrestle away. ;)

Stone Age at Orzel's House...

Post by Orzel Bialy »

My phone won't be up until the 3rd...my cable until the 5th...only the bills are still on schedule. :( It's like living in the stone age around here...the TV doesn't pick up anything but three snowy channels and I've been relying on my cell phone to contact the outside world.....ugh.

I'll get the Kursk turn out as soon as I am able...sorry for the delay guys.

Outside of that...still un-packing. I'd never realized just how much crapola we had gathered up over the last three years!!! Time for a garage sale and/or a garbage dumpster!

"Hello"
"Oh hi, Mrs. Bialy, Can Orzel come out and play?"
"Well he is busy unpacking, and then he has to hook up the computer so I can check my e-mail, and then he has to mow the lawn, and then he has to do the dishes, take out the garbage, change a light bulb, and then he can come out to play."
"Oh, OK, well could you tell him that Gary stoped by and wanted a map for SPWAW please."
"Sure thing."
"Thank you Mrs. Bialy.":D :D :D

that's a lot of pleases. ;) I'll see if Mrs. Orzel doesn't mind me breaking away from unpacking and setting up duties for a little bit here and there.
I can't promise the moon...but I'll see what I can do. :) After all, even a man tired of the labors of working a job and then coming home to work some more should be entitled to some free time. Right? :D

Gary, your map is now about 95% done...sorry for the delay once again. I could release it as is....but I have this thing about going back in and fine tuning my maps....you know, a little eye candy here and there to really make things stand out.

Anyway, I would have had it done a couple days ago...but I had two days of company meetings and by the time I got home from all day sessions I was thinking of only three things...a cold beer, my couch and the tv remote. :D

So, I will try to finish it up and get it to you by tomorrow at the latest....promise. ;)

Winter Countryside...

Post by Orzel Bialy »

Here it is Gary. Sorry for the delay in getting it out...but better late than never, right? :D

It has a two small villages and some scattered farms here and there...with a small wooded area in the center, which could prove interesting to a meeting engagement. ;)

There are some small hills scattered about as well, nothing too major though.

Hope it is acceptable for the battle you both had envisioned.
