Any difference between Matrix and Gamersgate Version?

Any difference between Matrix and Gamersgate Version?

Noticed that TOW is currently only $14 at Gamersgate. Is there any differences between Matrix version and Gamersgate (besides how they are downloaded and registered)? When patches are released are they compatible with both versions?
