I am thinking we do want him to concentrate with Da Babes because the vanilla seems to be set in concrete.

Example: Well I aint going to recheck your sources Buck Joel who did the US may want to but defacto unless its a pure armoured formation they will always have some ord support to relfect cooks, loggies etc etc

This was in response to a question regarding the TOEs and an example where history is opposite to the game (eg 37th (Sep) Regt).

We need people to accept that the original data base may not represent history and JWE is one of those people (with Don B.) who is willing to listen.

I agree as well.

I know we need to have rules to keep things civil on an anonymous forum.....

But, I tend to give a lot of slack to folks who are helping with the big picture. JWE is definitely a person who tells it like it is, but is also one who has done a lot for the game. I sure hope he comes back.

in addition to Terminus, The Elf and any others whom I have forgotten.........

Here too. I didn't see the proportionality in the action, but obviously the opinions that count varied.

We could ask Matrix to make a day 36-hours long instead 24-hours, so JWE could post, and mod... just a thought. [;)]

Since I am the one you copy and pasted Buck I think I am going to respond to that one

You posted a request for info with a source that doesnt work on my PC asking an open ended research question without giving all the data as to what your issue was - I checked the editor determined it was a question of motor support v ord support - although I am still guessing because you didnt frame the question with enough data nor did you point me to a unit with either TOE so I dont know if its a real TOE used by the game or just some old data in the scen

I also pointed out in my response joel did the US ORBATS not me so I took yuo request checked it where I could answered what I could and said Joel would need to cvhase it down.

In future if you want OOB questions answered be specific. And for the record you post was the 1st time anyone mentioned that 37th Regt may have its dates mixed up and that will be looked at.

My track record of chasing down OOB trivia and fixing it is actually pretty good so I dont expect that kind of crap

But there are solutions to all these little gripes and i think I will use one of them now.

I am sorry if I offended you, I did not mean to do so.

I recognize that there was a portion of my original quire that was non-specific and I wasn't really looking for a specific why or why not, only if there was an underlying reason that a Regiment or Battalion Motor Support would be less than the referenced source. Hey, I didn't mind you not answering that. Also I didn't necessarily care that the specific issue of the arrival date of the 37th (Sep) Infantry Regiment looked to be confused with its historical withdrawal date. Like I said it was no biggie and I did my due diligence in surfacing it.

Having, said that, it did leave me with the impression that tweaking changes would not be forth coming and hence my comments regarding Da Babes.

Please accept my apology.

Buck

Note, I re-read my original post in this thread and it was very poorly worded. I can see why you were offended. Truly, my bad.

The original driver for "Da Babes" IIRC was a result of a long standing divergence on the wisdom of including many more small craft in the Naval OOB for AE. Actually I think the original divergence was actually between Don and John on this point! [:)] My guess is that while John still believes lots more small craft should perhaps NOT be represented in AE - he decided he was more than willing to support Don's desire for these smaller craft to be added - in a MOD format - hence Da Babes. Well at least that is my version of the origins of Da Babes. Subsequently in may have evolved.
