losses in BoB 41

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

losses in BoB 41

Post by jimbo12 »

This has to be my favorite game of all time. Some day I'm going to invest some time in taking on BTR but I really enjoy BOB41. The learning curve seems overwhelming. My question is on the LW ability to shoot down planes post patch. It seems the brits knock down my bombers and fighter while I can only damage him on escort or high escort fights. Sweeps work fine and I seem to getting most of my kills straffing or catching the brits landing. My style of play is conservative keeping my pilots rested and flying when above 25 planes.

Info;

7/1/41

As 4 hs 6
ID 3 currently not trying for critical damage yet just general high value targets
t 5
to win 18

LW ready 4849 losses 1247
Brits 1237 510

Is this my style or poor tactics? Should I push harder
Again tried many different things and my leading ace has a whopping 3 kills

Thanks and again love the game

BoB 41 is more demanding than BoB40 and it needs a different playstyle in some aspects.
The 41 campaign is less about breaking the FC ( but it is doable......but hard to do) it is more collecting enough ID and terror troughout several months to finally score the victory

The next release by HS of the latest data files will improve the Luftwaffe's ability to compete air to air.  But Swift is correct in that the main focus needs to be on knocking out the British industrial base.
