I also have a question, i absolutely LOVE that you had the guts to make something so rare in 4x games, orbits..
But do they have a function? Or is it just for the visual immersion (which is more than good enough)?
I have crazy ideas for a future expansion or whatever, involving orbits, ill post a new thread about it

LOL, I don't think you can glass planets like some right wing hawkes want to glass the Middle East, because it is mostly sand. A planet would have to be like Dune before you could glass an entire planet. =-P

Sand is rock. If you throw enough energy into the planet, it will "glass" it, well, turn it into a molten magma hellhole anyway

I dont think tat we will fighters or other assalut craft in this game.
On one videeo you can see list with class of ships and I dont see any carriers here. But it still possible that you can build carriers and they are marked as capital ship.

On the other hand. If it wil possible to play as xenofhoboc empire or mayby as master slaves race? I really like that in master of Orion you can choose to assimilate or exterminate conquered race.
