Vote now for the 2009 Pooner!

Post by TonyE »

It is that time again; time for Pooner voting. This year we induct an individual Pooner but no lifetime Pooner.

See past winners at http://www.harpoonpages.com/pooner2008.htm

Vote by replying to this topic and stating your vote. Please only vote at one forum.

What is a Pooner?

A person who gives of their time, talents, and riches to the Harpoon community.

An award given yearly to recognize the efforts of the above.

The yearly Pooner award recognizes extraordinary effort often within (but not restricted
to) a single 12 month period.

Rules

You may only vote once.

Only votes for individuals will be counted, no groups.

You may not vote for past winners or Tony Eischens

I'll tally the votes the first week of January and declare a victor.

So do I. My vote goes to Russell for the same reason.

Greetings,
Frans.

I vote for herman Hum because he's helped me publish 4 new scenario's (yes I know, a meagre result for me), updated PDB at least 10 times with new platforms that I needed for scenarios, published a lot of scenarios himself, and brought new players into the community through his tireless unofficial helpdesk support and MP activities.

Thank you for the warm thoughts and kind words, but I would greatly appreciate not being associated with this process in any way, shape, or form.

I vote for Rusty for having to put his head down and put up with you know who's crap in a virtual ghost town for the past year or so. I can't imagine he's getting paid enough for it and clearly is the only one moving Harpoon ahead.

What? That isn't what it is?[;)]

Yep, same guy, Russell/Rusty Sharp [:)].

Thanks for voting folks. There are many more of you here though and very few votes, let's show our thanks to those who put in the time and effort! Thanks again.

Rusty,
Since this is the first time I've been near this place in 8 months I'll apologise firstly for not knowing about this.

Let me say that I can truly atest to Russell's tirless efforts and open mind in his approach to moving Harpoon forward. I've spent many hours with him online (like Central Texas to Melbourne Australia) trying to pin down bugs and he fixes them with a speed this simulation has never seen in its long history. Boarding, Chained Missions all Rusty's work.

Without Rusty trying his best to work himself to death over the last two years, I doubt this forum would still be operating. Let alone consideration of a 3.10 and future versions beyond that. I would ask people to ignore the obvious jibe aimed at the current Pooner. As a past winner I hope I may say that Russell Sharp has deserved this and probably a lot more from those of us who enjoy our Harpoon experience.

Cheers

Darren
