Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.
Fair enough - constructive input is always appreciated.
It just seems a bit like Dave has a tendency to take constructive input outside the programming (and hist. data) department (eg. PR, Coy politics) personal, if so - there's no need to do that.
Oh, and it's ad nauseam. (j/k, I know you guys love knitpickers.... not, lol)

I've been long time 'lurker', but now I would like to say how happy I am on the progress of the development of this game. Hope to be playing this game soon.[:)]
Now whose taking this personnally. If the truth be known, I was referring to comments about "vaporware" I received on other forums from people other than you. Lighten up. [:)]
And I was trying to communicate that I don't think they insinuated anything to be vaporware. Fully lightened up here, as usual. [:)]

Ya it is not like we are dealing with Combat Mission Campaigns.....or HISTWAR with updates for 4 years. Nice to see it finally made it though. It was getting kinda silly though.
You guys have a great track record. Any date estimate is the best possible date anyways. Things happen. As long as your in the same 6 months to a year on your estimate all is good!!
My Top Matrix Games 1) CMO MP?? 2) WITP/AE 3) SOW 4) Combat Mission 5) Armor Brigade
I for one really enjoy the little updates. And having seen the consequences of such all too often, am not really interested in a rushed product. Take all the time you need.
I make sure I re-visit this thread every month or so to keep tabs on the progress. Wonderfull to see the light at the end of the tunnel can be seen and I'm quite sure the wait will be well & truely worth it.
A lot of people are contacting us directly or asking us in other forums or threads on this forum about the release date. Let me just reiterate that our policy is to only release the game when it is ready. We don't work to a fixed date. Instead we work to a fixed standard of product. So the release date is subject to progress and by the nature of this development, involving so much original R&D, we cannot prescribe or predict with absolute certainty how long things will take.
So please be patient. We are close to finishing. But we still have a few things to do and testing is still throwing up a few things that need attention. For instance, this week it was discovered that the rate of advance by the American 4th Arm Div in the Bastogne scenarios was too great compared with the historical. Further analysis and research revealed that the move rates for the snow ground conditions were too generous. So we have had to tweak these back and retest. But this affects the tutorial scenario, which is all in snow and since I did not want to start the tutorial movies all over again, I had to write some special case code to use the original snow rates for the tutorial scenario.
I will continue to post progress reports here on a regular basis. In the meantime, please do not be offended if i don't reply to each and every email about the release date. I think it best I focus on getting the product finished. Thanks for your understanding. [:)]
No problem Dave.......... take your time and get it right.
IMO there's nothing worse than investing a lot of time playing a game only to have it turn sour due to bugs et al.
We'll still be here!

You really should put that post in a new "Release date" thread so anyone knows what's up and the question flood stops.
I have just completed the six tutorial movies. I still have to finish off the Game Concepts and Welcome movies. I then need to stomp on a few remaining bugs and then tidy up the manuals to cater for any edits since they were first drafted. There's at least one maybe two weeks work yet. Paul is working on fixing an out of sync bug and on working up the demo. In the meantime the beta testers are going through the scenarios tweaking for play balance. Remember, that after we sign off it will take Matrix a few weeks to make the game ready for sale. Stay tuned.
Will the demo get posted before we can buy the game? (Would be nice...)
Sounds like a lack of self-control![:)]
I just can't believe that the team has been working on the data content for almost 4 years now, and Dave is calling in all edits by next week. I remember when all we had was bug-riddled maps, beta versions of COTA, and a half-baked estab file to test them with.

It's been so long that I actually have trouble remembering it [;)]
