I have a puppet Britain (a rare occurence in my limited experience to date), but the sea route from the Atlantic to the Med is still closed to me.

Is this a design issue, a bug, or as intended?

not sure what you mean by puppet. Do you mean that the Axis has used diplomacy to get Brittain to join the Axis? Axis has conquered the UK? Only the home island?

both my misunderstanding and what looks like a bug ;-)

After the puppet British Union installation, there are still British units overseas, fighting on.

However, it looks like all my units in N Africa were redeployed to the deployment pool, whch means that I have to ship them out again - I reckon that's a bug

ver. 1.7beta...German Human player.

I too have some confusion about the British Union. Once Germany had enough control of the Isles and forced the Armistice Event, I chose "Puppetize" and the UK chose "Bad Deal" and the British Union was formed.

All Axis units in British controlled territory went to the deployment box, a new Diplomatic Icon was placed on the diplomatic map (near Brussels) with full Axis alliance. The Great Britain Diplomatic Icon changed from Allied to Neutral. Some 1500 PP was added to the German total.

F11 revealed the new British Union and I changed from AI to Human. At the BU turn I investigated the reports and found them to be at -950 PP. Force Pool was 12 Inf Div's. No units appeared on the map, so I went to Deploy Units and got the message that "No connection to MSS or all available locations occupied".

The map shows all British Isles territory minus Edinbourg, Plymouth and Belfast are indeed controlled by the British Union. There is no MSS in this territory. I tried to send supplies and the report states "no units in need of these supplies". I then sent resource convoys of 125 PP to British Union ports and they report success, decreasing the -PP total by the amount sent plus the growth of the BU economy (some 16 PP per turn).

I do not yet know if the reduction of this negative production total will yield a MSS for the British Union as it was getting late and I was tired. At every subsequent turn after the Armistice, Great Britain lowered its War Entry from 100 by pressure and is now at War Entry 0.

Any thoughts?

This happened to me too, puppet England and it's war entry drops fast

Trough this event BU lost 1000 PP which were transfered to Germany.

Also lack of MSS might be caused trough earlier occupation of London by Germans.
I've already added an entry regarding this issue so with the next patch it should work fine
