So what's possible to mod?

Post by Altaris »

I've looked through here for info on how to mod, but haven't found that much yet. I've poked through the Editor some to get a feel for it, but seems like there are mods that are doing more than I've seen possible in the editor. How do you do things such as map editing? Are there any ways to add conditional entry of theaters such as the Soviet Union in the GC?

If there's some sort of Wiki site that has this type of info, I'd be interested in a link to that as well.

As far as Map editing, you can can add / change bases and base ownership. you also can set a smaller map to play from. I dont think you can change terrain, or at least I dont know how.

The conditional unit entries in the game is a black box for me too. I recently was looking to use the 'rebuild American CV and CA' funtionality but was advised it is only 'on' or 'off' and only for those units. There also are the release units for invading USA or Japan or the like.

Has anyone successfully edited a hex for a MOD?
