German Gruppe Based Behind Allied Lines in Italy

According to my order of battle, I have eight German groups in Italy on Allied airfields. They show on the order of battle but otherwise cannot be selected (for example if you go by aircraft type they don't appear). Do I get these back sometime, and if so is there any way to tell when and where?
