Hokkaido - Fuel for HI

Post by ny59giants »

I am playing one of JuanG's mods and have 40 HI at Sapporo and 50 HI at Muroran. However, even if I deliver fuel to Sapporo, it all goes to Hakodate (over 18k in fuel). Is there a way to get fuel at those two bases?? I know this happens as Tracker reports in RED that no HI was produced at these two bases. I need every point in HI I can get. [:D]

I read somewhere that Tracker gets this wrong. The HI is actually pulling just the needed amount of fuel out of Hakodate every turn and then burning it up, so you always see it as if there isn't enough fuel and some of your industry isn't working. It's tough to spot that it actually is working, but you'll need to add up how much HI is produced vs. used each turn and then look at the changes to your pools to see that all your HI is in fact building.

Perhaps the next version of Tracker will be able to deal with this better?

Ive actually got this same problem, with Muroran claiming that its not producing according to the ingame 'failed to produce' flag, due to a lack of fuel. I have several thousand units of fuel on the island, but none moves to this one base.

Any ideas?

Tracker gets it wrong; there are several threads on this but the key idea is it is not even possible for Tracker to get it right since the fuel/resources ae moved from the point of storage to the point of use between reports so Tracker will never be able to see the movement.

OTOH, with Patch 3 you can look at your industry report (green factory button) and if there is not an X in the "Fail" column the factory produced whatever it was supposed to.

Yeah but the next version will remove this and use the failed point which I'm still implementing ... JuanG is reporting it as an in-game fail though so that might be a problem.

I thought more fuel could be sucked over by placing more ships in port (not an ideal solution), and seeing as this is on one landmass with industry, I'd say JuanG should get a save to the devs.
