Selecting ships to move:

Post by Wade1000 »

Are we able to lasso/mass select a group of ships?
Are we able to select all of a specific type of ship in an area; by double clicking, using a drop menu, buttons, or other means?
Wish list:population centers beyond planetary(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Culture):Ships,Ring Orbitals,Sphere Orbitals,Ringworlds,Sphereworlds;ability to create & destroy planets,population centers,stars;AI competently using all advances & features.

Yes, lasso select + shift-click to add/remove single ships from group. With a group selected you can then right-click for a pop-up menu to create a new fleet with the selected ships or to assign the ships to an existing fleet.

Double-clicking any ship in a fleet selects the fleet. The Ships and Bases screen also has tools for sorting and filtering all the ships and bases in your empire. There are also buttons to cycle through different ship types (military, construction, exploration, fleets, idle ships, etc).
