Civilization V actually looks pretty good. Part me hates the new hex grid(How many times have we seen hexes in wargames?) yet another part of me likes the hexes.(I'll take hexes over the box spaces any day.)

I'm loving the improved graphics, the cites and terrain look spectacular.(heck it's like Empire Total War with hexes)I also like how they are leaning away from "one man" armies and instead are actually showing like 10 guys this time around. This means it will actually feel more like an army.

I'm curious to see how the world globally scrolls, when playing the global level this should be continuous and smooth. Without the need to go all the way to the east and then back to the other side of the world, it should be the world that spins and not the player.

Same with scrolling with the mouse wheel to zoom in closer and zoom out again to get a big picture, this should be smooth with many increments. So the player can pick the height they wish to view at easily, then drift with the mouse as the player controls it.

If CIV 5 does not implement modern hardware command and control techniques to its game then I won't bother this round. I was less than impressed with CIV IV and found it archaic when it was new.

Gonna pass on this one. How many times can I research Architecture in my lifetime? Oh, a bonus to bridgebuilding? Sweet!

Eh? Civ IV did all this just as you describe......
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

Not very well compared to other games. It was implemented very poorly.
