in game history.. regarding supplies?

Post by freeboy »

OK, I remember another game that had a scenario that modeled the eastern front.. in that model regardless of what happend on the map during play the Red army became a giant powerhouse in 43...

My ? regarding WITE is this.. do the soviets get the added supply or organization or other advantage in 43 - 44 that they did historically if the germans take key areas, or can the german player actually defeat them? this is a big issue for me, potentially a deal breaker...
I mean it seems pretty LOCKED in a straight jacket mentality if you tell me as a German player.. you can overrun all of eastern Russia, take moscow and Lenningrad.. take the oil in the south and still the red army will overcome al this and start kicking your butt...

I'm not sure if I understand your question.

Are you asking if the Russians get bonuses in 1943 onward, regardless of how well the Germans have done up to that point? Obviously, if a majority of the population centers in Western Russia have been overrun (say everything but the Caucausus), it will be quite hard to find the manpower for the Russians to fill up their units.

yes, exactly.. that is what I am asking.. since production and unit creation is hard coded... to some degree.. how much better or worse can the countries do? I was very frustratd in this scenario of another game.. no names.. that irregardless of performance quadroupled red army efficiency from 41 to 44! ouch
thanks.. thisg do look great for this beign a fantastic pbem game!
