Looking for opponent.

Post by paweld »

I am quite new to this game. ( I played a few random games with ai but it's not a challenge) I would like to try a random game with human opponent. I prefer all hardcore setting, however I am open to any suggestion related to rules and map sizes. I can play one/two turns per day - and later in the game 1 turn per two days.
I have the latest version (1.22).

Send me PM
Cheers

Would you agree to play a random game using Bombur mod as master file? Bombur mod is an expanded tech tree with more than 200 units. It sarts with 1900 units and goes up to 1960 hardware.

Along the same lines, I'm up for a random game of Zaratoughda's AHRS mod or Bomburs Mod.

BTW, the current version is 1.23 I think.

And btw, I´m resuming work in Bombur mod. Already incorporated some features of the advanced masterfile. I will rework the combat spreadsheets and maybe increase the number of units.

Interesting. I found that the Bombur mod was very promising, but needed polish IMO. The unit characteristics needed some polish and I was clueless on some of the newer tech's like cruise missles. I recall that upgrades in situ were free in most cases, (no cost to supply). Also, machinegun 4 as I recall was like a cubic yard of lead on the movement rates. Also, infantry and cavalry could outrun early planes. Stuff like that.

On the good side, the AI actually bought coastal guns and aircraft carriers, (but of course it doesn't know what to do with them) and tried to keep up on the tech tree. I think Zaratoughda's mods for enhanced AI and his 'peoples' mod which channels the AI into certain SFT's really helps make the game more interesting.

The trouble with aircrafts and horses is that movement rate for aircraft was modeled to simulate actual range, not speed, so it makes sense to have very small movement rates for early aircrafts, this feature will be kept. I started a thread about the new version. Hopefully, the changes will be introduced in the Global Domination scenario.
