Quick-Play Commando Scenarios Here

Post by Redleg »

Here is a pair of quick-plays for the gamer-on-the-go!

If you try these, I would greatly appreciate a post about whether you could win the battle or not. That is, if you play with the recommended settings.

These are challenging and different. Pretty straight-forward, too.

Have fun.

I played small version. Althrough it could have been more challenging, it was very entertaining.

I also liked idea of leaving victory hexes from this scenario.

Thanks for playing the scenario. I have been experimenting with different approaches to the v-hexes.

A very good score - better than my own! :)

Thanks for playing it and posting the results.

My favorite of the two was the larger version although I must admit, I enjoyed playing both.

Thanks again.

This was interesting. Yet again, my attempts at stealth failed, and instead a planned, coordinated effort carried the day. Pacos crossed river in north and immediately engaged Nat. Cav. Regulars in the south moved to the bridge; then the expendable Chauchat squads inched across the bridge. When they were fired upon, they'd smoke; another would move up until it was fired on, then smoke. Once I blocked out all the bunkers' lines of fire, the rest of the Regulars poured across the bridge. It got rough, but the patience to move units into place to opfire on counterattacks was all I really needed. I don't think I could have captured the ammo dump (I planned to take the courthouse first, which was going to turn into a slaughter), but the rest wasn't terrible.

The Dynamiteros weren't terribly useful, though... the only assault that worked was one with... the ASTRA PISTOL!! (I'd C-fire the dynamite for higher hit percents).

Arty would probably ruin this one.

Yes, the Dynamiteros needed Anna to provide them with some additional training!

Thanks for trying it and also for the feedback. Much appreciated.
