Naval-Evac battles

Post by bresh »

Hi how does naval-evac-battles work ?

I notiched in 1 of the pbm games im in.
That when GB took Naples port, and forced a evac battle. (Naples 1H6L), vs 40 British. that GB did not have automatic windgauge for the battle, when Naples attempted to break the blockade).
I know game does not show the actual battle. but GB lost 1 ship, and thats imposible if the blockading navy has automatic windgauge.

In all of the battles I've seen the blockading fleet has the wind gauge.
You should try to replay this and get screen shots, etc.

Blockading fleet should indeed get the wind gauge.

In the case above, if GB rolled a 1, modified to 2, that would sink 4 Naples ships. Then Naples could roll a 6, for 25%, and sink the 1 GB ship, no?

Evac battles dont show up on any battlescreen, nor can I rerun my turn in a pbm game.

It would be  great if all players could view the last screenshot of every battle (land or sea) when they load combat files, by clicking on the area where the battle was fought.

You presently can not see the battle results from naval evacs or regular fleet battles even in the game log (reported on Mantis). You also only get a summary of battle results for single corps land battles in the log, even when you have a corps fighting in the battle as the defender. Hopefully we get something more on this soon.
