WORK!

Post by Marshall Ellis »

Hey guys:

I am pulling back 1.08 for now and will look to get some stuff off of the list for the time being. It's fairly obvious that I cannot keep up so this may be a while! Just a heads up. I will attempt regular updates.

I do still hope that the 1.08.00 BETA can still get out (I'm working on 1.08.01) but have no ETA for any of this yet. In summary, "I've fallen down and can't get up!"

Will keep you posted...

Thank you

Well Marshall, you have knocked a few things off the list today (this might be the last couple of weeks of work) and seem to be making good progress. I hope the rest are as easy to solve as the Luxemburg forest.

Hi Marshall
what are you working on these days?. After a two week blitz in which you demolished a huge number of items on the Mantis list, it has been pretty quiet lately. Are you still working on the list?
I was wondering if you would consider a similar blitz on some small elements of the interface (some of DC's suggestions), or perhaps looking at proportional losses for the naval system, after dealing with the few remaining Mantis items and before jumping on to the next major item.

One question:
currently the garrisoned depots block enemy's corps movement. Can it be solved please? It can become a major issue as it can be easily abused.

Eia Boardgame rules:
7.3.2.1: A corps must cease movement when it consumes its movement allowance or when it enters an area containing an unbesieged enemy corps (not if the area contains only cossacks, freikorps, guerrillas and/or garrisons).

Eianw Rules:
10.4.2 Land Movement Procedures
Each counter is moved individually.
· A corps must cease movement when it consumes its movement allowance or when it enters an
area containing an unbesieged enemy corps or depot garrison (not if the area contains only
cossacks, freikorps, or guerrillas).

Please solve it.

Thanx

Yes, this needs to be fixed. Looking at Mantis, it seems to have been submitted as #501, reported resolved, then reopened as #597, because it wasn't resolved.

I'm trying to chew on Mantis and am hung up on a few items and a few fix tests that failed so some of my fixes weren't fixed! I'm circling a few fixes for now!

The problem with fix blitzes is that you must slow to consolidate after exploitation every once is a while ... at least that's what Guderian said ... I think? BUT not sure he was a coder LOL ???
Thank you
