Hey guys,

I have a question about heavy-industry production. In this past turn, I had two bases run out of fuel, and Tracker posted an alert entitled "insufficient fuel for HI". I was worried this meant no HI had been produced.

But in fact the bases in question aren't listed as "failed" on the industry-management ("J") screen, which makes it likely that the bases did receive just enough fuel to run their heavy industry during the turn. I don't really mind being warned that the fuel level is low, but I thought I'd check with you to make sure this feature is working as designed.

Wait for 1.5 - I've got it right (I believe) using the new "failed" in the save file.
Thanks again

[edit:] It's in Floyd's capable hands now - ironed out some of the last kinks ... hope you guys like all the work we've done [8D]

Might be too late to include in v1.5, but since it looks like a relatively small request...

Would it be possible to add a 'Notes' field to the Ship Classes data set as well?
The main advantage would be to keep track of the roles you'd like your classes to perform (fi use DDs as ASW, SC, AA escort, ...), as well as listing the upgrades/conversions you'd like to effectively implement. Helps a lot with ship administration...

Cheers,

Moss

I'm looking forward to it! Thanks again for such a terrific utility. Tracker is fun to play with in its own right -- almost like a game unto itself. :)

I was planning to release real soon. If I can fit it in, I will. Otherwise, next time.

Is it possible to add operational reports, too ?
I would like to read them in Tracker like the Sigint.

Not in the next release, but eventually these will be included and we'll be placing the relevant data & filters onto the Tracker map too I believe ... This is Floyd's area so I won't comment too much more but IT will take a while to get right & we both have fairly hectic schedules IRL, so don't hold your breath for it to be implemented right away.

The plan has always been to do and keep doing this while we're still enjoying the work, and to implement things as we get to them - I know you all want us to get to V 10.0 right away, but at least we're still releasing regularly and listening to all your suggestions.

I'm just happy that many players value our work and I hope we enrich your gaming experience - which from the feedback, I guess we've achieved...

Thanks to all for your kind words and suggestions.

It was just a question guy´s [;)]

Thought since the operational reports are very important it would be nice to have them in tracker (as many informations there as possible).
Maybe together with some filters for all the different possible events there.
But i can wait. The actual tracker is already VERY helpful.
Keep up the good work.

Btw, beside outlook express tracker is probably the most used program in my PC [&o]

No, what I want is to get you and Floyd together somewhere that I can buy you both more beer than you can drink in a week!

Instead, I'll be happy with V 1.5. [8D]

Thank you, Gents!

Hi Floyd & Damian,

Thanks very much for bringing us the next step of this already great utility!
This is my try at giving the best compliment of the thread: playing AE will always remain a form of art, but Tracker transforms the labor part into science [&o][:D]

BTW: I especially appreciate you took into account my last-minute request for a Notes column for the Ships panel...1st class customer service (and we're not even paying, so the more praise to you!)

Cheers,

Moss

Now that I'm at it: are you guys considering transforming the operations & combat reports into intel as well, or will this remain utopic? (I can imagine the parsing routines for fi the Combat Reports will be rather complex)

Moss,
thanks for the high praise. Floyd is the one who added the notes, I forgot to add the CSV export for that area though [8|]

I think this covers the Ops Reports
fb.asp?m=2401230

Combat reports will probably be outside the scope of Tracker for some time however ...

Otherwise enjoy it and we'll keep it coming.

Me too ... someday I'll even get back into another game & use it myself ...

Floyd and I played a bit of the GuadCanal -- I had him on the ropes for a bit until he TKO'd me... I should send him a turn after I finish the hump of work I have to do right now...
