The work from home quandry: Do I owe my employer 8 hours of productive work or just the 1 hour's productive work I'd have got done if I went into the office?

Steve, the whole point about monster games is that you open it up, set up all the pieces for turn 1, then read the rules. Did you never own Atlantic Wall or Highway to the Reich?

Nope. And nope![:D] I have very practical reasons for short versus long games at this time.1) In six weeks I move cross country, and that means at very least a couple of weeks disruption of computer access (not to mention being really, really busy).
2) when I play against a very experinced player (and I always want that) I figure that it will hurt less if I get my head handed to me after a few weeks of play (versus six months. Considering the number of times you've cleaned my clock , you should understand that). 3) I really don't completely understand all the in's and outs of this game (and won't for at least a year).

So I hope that you also might consider playing me another PBEM later in the year (maybe this summer if your dance card opens up).

I've been wanting a chance to learn from Dixie since I started reading this forum. Then Mynok,USS America, and Terminus! (OK ,fat chance , but I can dream , can't I?).[:D]

What makes you think you'll have time while youre packing? [:D]

I'll need something to keep me sane......and prevent me from committing homicide! [:D]

So when are you going to break down and start doing PBEM's again? [&:][:D]

I used the term nifty a couple of months ago. My son's girlfriend did not know what I was talking about[:D]
Worship the comic! [;)]

Why?
Is it not nifty? ... (come to think of it ... there could be some parallell between you and Riff in the first comic (http://www.sluggy.com/comics/archives/daily/970825))

Just the one hour, because of some reason that I don't need to explain here. [:)]

EDIT: At least you can work from home, I have to go into work to achieve cock all [;)]

Great one, Onime. I love all these gadgets with their "worst case scenario" portrayal pre-gadget. Thank THREAD for the egg cracker-otherwise we'd be eating nothing but shell. And it would take FOREVER to peel an egg...[8|]

Oddly enough, I first heard about Sluggy via the Aldenata series.

Hey Leo, can I remove the "windows.old" folder, now that I've got the new install going?

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: Terminus

Hey Leo, can I remove the "windows.old" folder, now that I've got the new install going?

You did upgrade over existing install? Did you keep old HDD?

I had 100% success with that (original WinXP / Win Vista -> new Win7)!

And yes, you can delete those (although they are very small in size (that should not be full old install - just some differences and remnants of old system)...

I didn't have to format C:\. The problem was a bad driver, which my old install was unable to repair, so I did a fresh install on the same drive.
