Managing pilot morale

I notice that some of my squads get to pretty low morale. What advice is there on managing pilot morale? So far I am trying to factor in some rest for each squad and I am also trying to rotate squads to R&R sites (with training set to 50%). What do you veterans say?

If morale looks real dire, I'll stand them down for a day or two if I can. Rotating is a good idea as well.
