How to: Moving a plane to a new base

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

How to: Moving a plane to a new base

Post by Rusty1961 »

Okay, I know it should be simple. I go to move a plane (as the allied player) and when I hit the move button, the command says,"Select new base".

I put the mouse pointer over the base I want the plane moved to and it doesn't do anything. No op points are removed and the planes arent' moved.

What am I missing here?

(I can't read my manual as they are just ascii characters).

The new base has to belong to the same command as the unit you're trying to move. For example, RAF squadrons can't move to USAAF bases and 8th AF units can't move to 9th AF bases. After invasions there's also the possibilty that the base isn't operational yet.

Yes, I figured that out about an hour ago.  Thank you for confirming it.
