What this game needs...

Post by Marcuso »

After looking over the various facts about Distant Worlds as well as watching the videos, I found just one thing that this game needs.

It needs the Space Olympics. Think of the diplomatic possibilities!

Otherwise, it looks amazing. I'm really looking forward to it.

By the way, this was a joke.[:D]

I used to prefer to just watch the Space Olympics on the Intergalactic Entertainment Network; but I doubt I will even do that much more. The Space Olympics have become boring since the latest scoring criteria and safety guidelines were released by the Space Olympics Alien Athlete Resources Commission.
Many think that they might be accepting bribes from various opposing factions to implement restrictions against certain events traditional to certain factions. The latest Under Ocean Tube Darting scandal hints to more. And there's rumors that even the scoring judges are taking bribes from the multitude of corporate sponsers. Comet Cruiser Cola is under investigation for allegedly offering bribes.
It's just a buch of distant space nonsense now on distant worlds.

I now will play more inter-linked mind games and maybe do some more portal-warp planet-hop intersystem tourism adventures.
Wish list:population centers beyond planetary(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Culture):Ships,Ring Orbitals,Sphere Orbitals,Ringworlds,Sphereworlds;ability to create & destroy planets,population centers,stars;AI competently using all advances & features.

Moah...I would rather have a galactic UN or senate at some point of the game. However, you should also have the ability to disable it if you don't like it.

Definitely, I love the 'UN' systems we get in for example the old classic Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, or Galactic Civilizations 2!

They add a lot to the diplomatic systems IMO.

Actually what it needs is to be on my HDD with me happily plotting away at my evil strategies. [:D]

I'm actually a bit worried about how soon it's coming out, I have such a huge backlog of games I own but haven't finished, and how will I ever be able to finish'em after DW comes out!? It'll consume all my gaming time for crying out loud![;)]
