Berlin 1945

Post by Silvanski »

I started preparations for an overhaul of Thomas Kolley's Operation Berlin'45 scenario.

It's 22 full day turns at 2.5 KM per turn... Maybe I'll rescale it to 1/2 day turns

First of all I'm tackling the German OOB i.e. putting all Berlin defense districts (A to H) in their own formation. Further German OOB and TOE enhancements are underway.
The Red Army will also be looked into.

The map can use an upgrade... i.e, the woods around Muncheberg have been drawn in as you can see here...

Divisions and rifle corps at 2.5km/hex? That's going to be pretty unpleasant.

"War? Huh. What is it good for?"
"Absolutely nothing."

Now the Russians were squeezed together in a small space, but it's indeed a bit akward in 2.5 km... I may remodel them, with corps as formations and divisions as the largest individual unit in play

And presumably divisions/regiments for the Germans. As I understand it (and from the screenshot) even in 1945 a German infantry division had about as much combat value as a Russian rifle corps.

When will your Berlin scenario be ready? It's impossible to find any working Berlin scenario... [:(]

I know... it always takes longer than planned... I thought I'll finish my scenario in 2-3 weeks, but it took me 4 months to do it like I wanted [;)]
