Happy St. Patrick's Day to all my Brothers, from someone who's father named him Michael Patrick even though I don't have a drop of authentic Irish blood in me that I know of.
ahhh your not like the rest of the americans that claim to be irish and then try and talk with a fake irish accent for these last two weeks?[8|]

Hello Mike!

Will you guys in USA "celebrate" (i.e. drink lots of beer)?

Leo "Apollo11"

I'll probably have a beer or two this evening, and my wife is cooking corned beef in the crock pot all day today. [:)]

Most of the big celebrating is done by younger, single people and couples without kids. [:D]

though i am running 10 miles at the lake before i go out

My nephew , now almost 30 , served on the "New Oak Hill". Which he refers to as "That old ship
If he had been on the LSD-7, he would understand the word old. AE has her down as a 17 knot ship. We could cruise day and night at 14 knots with no sweat but never made it above 16, even when empty and coming back from a WestPac cruise.

First day at the new gig tithe.

Unfortunately my "vacation" had dealt rather roughly with my internal clock. Hopefully I will not come off as a complete drooling idiot on my first day (Steve, zip it! [:-][:D]). [&o]
I assume that your specific restriction means welcoming other commentary from those not named Steve? [:'(]

I hope they do not view you as a complete drooling idiot on your first day. That will come in time. [:D]

KIDDING! KIDDING! You'd be disappointed in me if I didn't hit that hanging curve ball, Yuri!

ETA: Good luck on the first day on the job. Nervous?

We usually have a corned beef dinner with cabbage. The drinking beer bit would be welcome, but is difficult to pull off regularly with a young family.
