Hi Marshall,

This isn't something I'd bug you with on holidays but I'm having trouble testing PBEM combat in 1.08.01 beta.  It appears that the game removes the battle files when they are done with, but this sometimes causes a battle file to be deleted just before it's loaded by the defender.  You might like to give this some more testing.

Also note mantis 639, it pretty much stops any new PBEM games being started in 1.08.01.
